The Unknown Benefit – Aid & Attendance

 

Only a fraction of aging wartime veterans know about the availability of the Aid & Attendance (A&A) pension through the VA. Unfortunately, most Veterans do not know help to pay for non-medical home care services is available. As a result, they do without important services, such as eating, bathing, dressing, undressing or medication dosing.

In fact, this Benefit is designed to provide financial aid to help offset the cost of long-term care for those who need assistance with the daily activities of living.

The Aid and Attendance pension is available to honorably discharged wartime veterans with 90 days of active duty, and their surviving spouses.
